Join us at 11 AM SLT Monday, May 26th to discuss a Metanomics interview with Robert Gehorsam, the President of Forterra Systems, Inc. Forterra's experience with the University of Maryland's Transportation Laboratory (which is using a virtual world to train I-95 emergency response teams) led to a broader discussion of the role of simulation...which led to an interesting exploration of work being done at the University of Central Florida, and host Rob Bloomfield's favorite term of the day: "the military-entertainment complex".

Edward Castronova, Associate Professor of Telecommunications at Indiana University, was the first economist to examine virtual worlds. His work on synthetic economies, and Everquest in particular, have helped to define the "cyberian frontier".
